Stephanie and Robbie met in Finn McCool’s pub in Boston. After a corporate 5K, a work party was held downstairs in the bar for those who had participated earlier in the day. Robbie ran the 5K, while Stephanie attended for the free food and drinks. Robbie’s soon-to-be manager challenged him to a game of skee ball, and later, Stephanie invited him to a game of pool, which she won. Robbie admitted he thought that was pretty cool, and Stephanie mentioned that she liked the way he talked. They chatted until the bar closed, and continued their conversation outside on the greenway near the waterfront in Boston. Eventually they left to get ready for work the next morning, having realized they would be working together.
Over the summer they spent many days together, getting to know each other and creating lasting memories. When the summer came to an end and Robbie was preparing to return to Ireland, he asked Stephanie to be his girlfriend. She initially said no, but that obviously didn’t last.
