General Terms and Conditions

All rates we quote are, of course, subject to availability and alteration. All special offers quoted are limited and subject to availability, and may be subject to a minimum stay.

While every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of all information, Fernhill Hotel & Estate cannot accept liability for any errors or omissions and we reserve the right to change information and descriptions of listed hotels and products and to amend manifest error in the quoted or booked rates.

Complaints or Comments

We take our guest satisfaction very seriously. Any complaint or comment regarding a stay at one of our hotels should be made in the first instance to the hotel’s duty manager at the time of your stay so that we can attempt to resolve it immediately. Problems which cannot be resolved there and then should be notified in writing to [email protected].

Online Bookings

Please note that different terms, conditions and cancellation policies in relation to all online bookings via Fernhill Hotel & Estate may apply, depending on the hotel and room or rate type selected. Please read carefully the room rate details that are provided before you make your online booking.

Once your booking is made, you will receive an on-screen confirmation reference number – we recommend you make a note of it, though you will also receive an email outlining your reference number and reservation details. If you prefer we can send your reference number direct to your mobile phone – simply select this option during the booking process.

In the event that you have to cancel your reservation, you will need your confirmation reference number, as well as the email address used to make the reservation.

 

Pre-Authorisation

Pre-authorisation of a major credit card is required upon check-in. If you cannot provide a credit card, pre-payment for the full value of your stay will be required, payable by either Debit Card or Cash.

An additional pre-authorisation / pre-payment amount will be required if you wish to charge incidentals to your room during your stay.

Group Bookings

When booking 10 rooms or more different payment and cancellation policies will apply. For more details contact the hotel directly.

VAT (UK and Ireland only) & Taxes

Reservations are subject to prevailing VAT rates applicable during the provision of the service. Therefore, if the prevailing VAT rate changes, the rate for the services provided during the stay will be subject to the new greater or lesser VAT rate as applicable. Should City tax or equivalent be mandated such tax shall be applied.

Non-Performance

If, for reasons beyond the hotel’s reasonable control, including, but not limited to, strikes, labour disputes, acts, regulations or orders of governmental authorities, civil disorder, disaster, acts of war, acts of God, fires, flood or other emergency conditions, or due to any delay in necessary and essential repairs of the hotel, the hotel is unable to perform its obligations under this agreement, the non-performance is excused and the hotel may terminate the original agreement without further liability of any nature. In no event shall the hotel be liable for consequential damages of any nature, for any reason whatsoever.

 

Guaranteed Reservations

Credit card details are taken at the time of booking for guarantee purposes. By securing your online reservation with a credit card, your room is guaranteed until midnight on the day of arrival, after which the room is released and may be resold. All reservations made on www.fernhillestate.ie must be guaranteed with a major credit card. In the case of a no show, your credit card will be charged for one night’s accommodation.

Advanced Purchase Rate

When booking an Advance Purchase Rate your credit card will be charged for the entire stay at the time of booking and the charge is completely non-refundable. A cancellation or change will result in forfeit of the amount charged.

Packages

All packages are available at Fernhill Hotel & Estate, subject to room availability. If you book a Stay Longer package and check out early, you will be charged for the full stay.

Pet Policy

Certification: You will need to provide proof that your service dog is certified by a recognised organisation
Unattended Policy: We do not permit service dogs to be left alone in guest rooms or anywhere in the hotel or grounds
Advance Notice: Please contact us directly prior to booking so we can log your assistance animal on your reservation and assign an appropriate room
Assistance Dog Only on the Grounds.

 

Cancellations

Cancellations must be made within the cancellation period signified on the reservation confirmation. If notice of cancellation is not received by the required date, the hotel will charge one night’s accommodation. Please note that some rates (e.g. Advance Purchase and Last Minute Rates) are non-refundable and in the event of a no show, the full charge of the reservation is taken from your credit card.

Promotions and Offers

All promotional offers are subject to specific terms, conditions and restrictions listed on the specific webpage. All promotional offers are subject to availability.

Eligibility of Use

Use of www.fernhillestate.ie is restricted to people over the age of 18 who can enter into binding contracts.

There may be links to other sites that we believe may be of interest to you at www.fernhillestate.ie but we are not endorsing or recommending these sites or the services or material provided by them. We therefore accept no responsibility for the materials, services or other situations at or related to, or from, any other website.

 

Vouchers

There is no cash in lieu of Voucher.
Please take all reasonable care and precaution in the custody of the Voucher and keep your Voucher safe.
You may use the Voucher, in accordance with any instructions issued by us from time to time, until the Voucher balance reaches zero, at which time this Agreement will automatically terminate and your right to use the voucher will cease.
Gift Vouchers may not be split into smaller voucher denominations or used to purchase a new Gift Voucher or to be used in part payment towards the purchase of a new Voucher.
In the case of a refund being required, we can only refund the original Voucher purchaser and the original Credit/ Debit card used to make purchase.
Dedications/ Names printed on Gift Vouchers cannot be amended or changed once they have been received by the customer.
Never disclose your Voucher number to anyone, except Fernhill staff.
If the amount of a stay/ meal at Fernhill is greater than the available balance on your Voucher, you can pay the difference by any other payment method accepted by Fernhill.

We collect and process personal data (such as name, address and e-mail address) when you purchase your Fernhill Gift Voucher. We use this data to deliver the Voucher(s) to you or the person you have requested us to send the Voucher to. We may also collect such personal data when you contact us for us to assist with a query about the Voucher you hold or to process a Voucher redemption query or Lost Voucher Request.

Jurisdiction

This contract is governed by the laws of Ireland.

Warranty Disclaimer

The content of www.fernhillestate.ie is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, implied or expressed, statutory or otherwise, including without limitation, the warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Fernhill Hotel & Estate also does not warrant the accuracy or completeness of the information, links or graphics found on www.doylecollection.com. Fernhill may make changes to the content or policies at any time without prior notice.

Limitations to Liability

In no event shall Fernhill Hotel & Estate or any of its subsidiaries, hotels or affiliates be liable for any direct, special, indirect or consequential damage or damages arising out of your access or use, or your inability to use Fernhill Hotel & Estate, or any materials or recommendations made by third parties on www.fernhillestate.ie.

You hereby waive any and all claims against us and our subsidiaries, hotels or affiliates arising out of your use of our websites or any materials or recommendations of any third parties found therein.

 

Pricing Errors

Other

Reservations may be cancelled or amended up to 48 hours prior to day of arrival. Failure to cancel your booking prior to this time will result in an automatic charge equivalent to 1 night(s) accommodation being charged to your credit or charge card.

In case of a mattress being damaged there will be a charge of €500.

Bookings made with a wedding code are part of a group booking. For all group bookings your name may be shared with the group organiser i.e wedding couple if requested. Please contact us as soon as possible if you are not happy with any of the above.
